We cannot have a relationship with God on our own.

No matter how hard we try or how much good we do, it will never be good enough. Why? Because everything we do is touched by our imperfection.

From the very beginning, humanity has tried to bridge the gap between us and God. We attempt good works, sacrifices, and self-improvement, but none of these efforts can make us right with Him. Even the Old Testament sacrificial system, which God commanded, was limited because it was carried out by imperfect people. The blood of goats, cows, and lambs could never take away the sin of the world. It could only cover it for a time.

This is why Jesus came. Jesus is God, and the only sacrifice that would ever satisfy God’s holiness was a perfect one. Jesus, the perfect Lamb of God, shed His blood.

His perfect blood does not simply cover our sins, it removes them.

Because of this, God has made a way for anyone who believes in Him to be born again and saved. You do not have to try harder or cling desperately by your own strength. God is the one holding on to you. If you are alive today, it means God is giving you another opportunity to come to Him, to cling to Him, and to believe in Him.

God loves you just as you are. His love is unconditional. But His love is also powerful. It is not a passive love that leaves you unchanged. It is a love that transforms.

Salvation is not about what you can do for God, but about what God has done for you through Jesus Christ.

His love is unconditional. He loves you just as you are.

But that is not the end of the story. His love is not a license to stay the same. His love is meant to transform you.

Reflect:
Have you trusted the perfect sacrifice of Jesus? Are you resting in the truth that He is holding on to you?
